You Need Knowledge

Did you know that the Scripture: "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” is not just a warning, it’s reality.
It is not good for the soul to be without knowledge. How come you don’t know the goodness of God, and also His severity? This lack of balance explains why many live in confusion.
If you don’t know His goodness, you’ll live in poverty and lack, far below His promises. If you don’t know His severity, you’ll live recklessly, as though judgment doesn’t exist. Both sides matter. Knowledge must have boundaries for it to be authentic and accurate.
What is knowledge?
Knowledge is information acquired or discovered. Specific knowledge is a piece of information about a subject matter.
Knowledge can be stretched beyond its level of tolerance, and once it does, it sizes to be true or authentic. That's why knowledge must have both constraints and context. It has been said that knowledge is power, because knowledge gives you advantage and opens doors of possibilities to you.

On the other hand, lack of knowledge about a thing you venture into can spell doom. Imagine someone carrying an explosive and because he doesn't know that the explosive can be triggered, acts anyhow contrary to safe practices. What do you think will happen?
This is why God lamented: “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.”
You need to know who you are. You need to know the potentials and possibilities God placed in man. You need to know who God has made you. Without this knowledge, the world will attempt to redefine you, and that will hurt both you as the carrier and God as the Giver.
Seek knowledge of your purpose. Ask why God gave you that influence, that platform, that finance, that grace. Knowledge is what places boundaries around your gifts and keeps them aligned to His will.
